Police investigating armed robbery in Magna

MAGNA, Utah, Nov. 12, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are investigating an armed robbery late Saturday night at a Shell gas station near 2700 S. 8400 West.

Lt. K. Malone, of the Unified Police Department, told Gephardt Daily an unknown man entered the station shortly after 11 p.m.

The man, wearing a bandanna or cloth over his face and holding a large knife, approached the cashier and demanded cash, Malone said.

The cashier complied, and the man fled the store with a small amount of money.

Malone said it isn’t known if the suspect had a vehicle or was on foot.

The suspect was described as having a dark complexion, wearing dark clothing and a blue cloth or bandanna over his face. He was of average build.

Police are in the process of checking the store’s surveillance video.
