KEARNS, Utah, Sept. 27, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian accident in Kearns Wednesday morning.

The Unified Police Department tweeted that a 43-year-old woman was attempting to cross 5400 South at 5160 West at approximately 5:30 a.m. when two eastbound cars hit her.

The victim, who was mentally disabled and lived in a group home nearby, died at the scene, officials said.

She was also wearing dark clothing and was not in a crosswalk. The drivers that hit the victim said they did not see her.
