SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah, Dec.26, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — South Salt Lake police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash near 3300 South 1000 West.
South Salt Lake Police Detective Alvarez told Gephardt Daily the deadly incident happened Thursday about 6:15 p.m.
According to Alvarez, the victim is a male, believed to be in his 40s or 50s.
The driver of the pickup truck which hit him is a male in his mid-30s, Alvarez said.
Initial reports indicated the pickup driver remained at the crash site and was cooperating with investigators.
It was unclear if the victim was in a crosswalk when he was struck.
