Police investigating suspected DUI crash in Draper

DRAPER, Utah, Dec. 30, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are investigating a suspected DUI crash which happened in Draper early Sunday morning.

Police were first called to 838 West 11400 South just before 1 a.m. When officers arrived they found an SUV and a mid-sized passenger car had collided head-on.

First responders worked for more than 30 minutes to free a woman driver from the car. Officers on scene said she had suffered extensive leg injuries and was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

It was unclear if anyone else was injured.

Draper and South Jordan police were both dispatched to the accident site.

The Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team has also been called in to aid in the investigation.

The driver that is suspected of DUI has been identified by officials as Bobbi Leigh Phillips, 30.
