Police Looking For Suspect In Armed Robbery Of Kearns Pharmacy

KEARNS, Utah, April 5, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are hoping to identify a suspect responsible for robbing a pharmacy at gunpoint last Wednesday in Kearns.

Det. Chuck Malm, Unified Police, said a man entered the Apothecary West pharmacy, at 4188 W. 5415 South, at 5 p.m. Wednesday. He displayed a hand gun to the employees, and demanded money and prescription narcotics.

The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash and medications and was last seen driving away in a black ’90s Chevy S-10 pickup with a black tool box in the truck bed.

The suspect is described as a caucasian male in his 20s, approximately 6-feet-tall with a slender build. He was wearing black shoes, black pants, a black hoodie over a gray T-shirt with dark stripes, and a white ball cap with sunglasses on top. He was also wearing reading glasses with thick black frames.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to call Unified Police detectives at 385-468-9819.

Malm said the suspect is considered armed and dangerous, and asks anyone who sees the man to not approach him, and to contact police immediately.
