SOUTH JORDAN, Utah, March 2, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A rollover in South Jordan Wednesday has sent a man to hospital after he ran a red light on Daybreak Parkway.
Capt. Michael Richards, of the South Jordan Police Department, said officers were dispatched on rollover at approximately 11 a.m. when a Toyota Prius traveling east ran through a red light at 4000 West and collided with a Honda passenger car traveling north.
Richards said the Prius rolled onto its side and collided with a pickup truck that was stopped at the light in the westbound travel lane. The driver of the Prius was still in his vehicle when officers arrived, but was able to climb out one of the windows.
The driver of the Prius, a male in his mid-40s, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. No one else was injured.
The accident is still under investigation but Richards said charges for the red-light violation are pending.
