Police: Man stabbed in the hand after altercation with acquaintance in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, May 2, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Police say a man was stabbed in the hand by an acquaintance after an altercation in Salt Lake City Wednesday morning.

The altercation occurred in the area of 840 E. Commonwealth Ave. at approximately 10:55 a.m., the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

“The victim was sitting on the curb with his girlfriend when they were approached by a male acquaintance,” the news release said. “The acquaintance started a fight with the victim and at one point stabbed the victim in the hand.”

The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Officers located the suspect nearby. Mason Musser, 24, was booked into jail for aggravated assault.
