OGDEN, Utah, Aug. 3, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — An Ogden man was arrested after police say he entered a convenience store with a scythe and threatened to kill a store employee.

According to a news release from Ogden Police Department, the incident occurred shortly after 5:30 a.m. Tuesday when Michael Just, 39, entered the store and made the threats. The employee locked herself in an office and called 911.

According to the release, Just damaged a vehicle in the parking lot with the scythe as he left.

He previously had been banned from the store “based on his erratic behavior and threats made to employees,” the release states.

OPD stated that Just wasn’t compliant when officers located him in his residence in the 200 East block of Seventh Street in Ogden, so Ogden Metro SWAT responded, and Just eventually surrendered to police custody.

Ogden Major Crimes detectives investigated and served a search warrant. The scythe was found inside the residence.

Michael Reuelleon Just faces several charges, including aggravated assault, threats, damaged property, and criminal trespassing.
