WEST JORDAN, Utah, Sept. 15, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — West Jordan police were on the scene of a two-car collision Saturday morning when a second two-car collision happened feet away.
Stg. Dan Roberts told Gephardt Daily that the first accident happened at about 7:19 when a woman was waiting to turn left at the intersection of 900 South and 2700 West, and a second car plowed into the back of hers.
The woman was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Roberts said.
“It wasn’t too bad,” he said. “I don’t think she had any broken bones.”
The man driving the second car was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence, Roberts said. Test results were pending.
But while at the scene, officers heard a second large crash behind their backs.
“They turned and saw car parts flying,” Roberts said. “That one happened after someone ran a red light.”
No one was seriously injured in the second accident.
