Police search for suspect after armed robbery at SLC Dino Mart

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 19, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are searching for a suspect after an armed robbery at a Dino Mart in Salt Lake City Sunday night.

The incident occurred at the Dino Mart Sinclair gas station at 2690 S. 700 East, just before 9 p.m., the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

“A clerk working at the Dino Mart was approached by a man holding a handgun,” the news release said. “The suspect demanded money and took cash from the till.”

He then exited the store and got into a waiting older model Honda Civic, spray painted with black primer, which had a temporary tag on the rear plate, the news release said.

Already in the vehicle was a “smaller” Caucasian man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, the news release said.

The suspect is described as having a stocky build, and a beard, wearing white tennis shoes, tan pants, a multi-camoflauge zip-front jacket and an orange knit hat with long tassels.
