Police searching for suspect after armed robbery at Salt Lake Dollar Tree

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, May 8, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City police are searching for a suspect after an armed robbery at a Dollar Tree Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred at the store at 477 N. 300 West just after 9:25 p.m., the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.

“The victim had just closed the Dollar Tree at this address when she was approached by a male who demanded the money from the store while brandishing a weapon,” the news release said. “The victim complied, and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.”

The suspect is described as Hispanic, in his early 20s, approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and white shoes with a bandanna over his face.
