Police searching for suspect after robbery at Salt Lake City Buckle store

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, June 3, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are searching for a suspect after the robbery of a Buckle store in Salt Lake City Saturday afternoon.

A news release from the Salt Lake City Police Department said the incident occurred at the store at 131 S. Rio Grande St. at 12:35 p.m.

“A male walked in to a store at this location,” the news release said. “He approached a female employee and demanded money from the cash register. The female employee complied and gave him the money.”

The suspect left southbound on Rio Grande Street, officials said.

The suspect is described as a darker skinned man, wearing a black flat-brimmed hat, rolled up sweater, black tennis shoes with white soles and red socks.
