SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, June 20, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City police are searching for a suspect following an armed robbery at a Metro PCS store Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at the store at 65 N. 900 West just before 5 p.m., the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.
“A male entered the Metro PCS store at this location and brandished a weapon while demanding money,” the news release said. “The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash and took an employee’s phone before fleeing on foot.”
The employee sustained a minor injury when the suspect took his phone, officials said.
The suspect is 6 feet tall and was last seen wearing a dark hoodie, jeans and white shoes, with a bandanna over his face.
