WELLINGTON, Utah, March 10, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Wellington Police officials are searching for a suspect or suspects after 15 vehicles were egged Saturday night and Sunday morning.

A Facebook post from the police department said: “Last night (9 March, 2019) into this morning (10 March, 2019), someone felt it would be fun to usher in daylight savings by damaging other people’s property.”

The post said that as of 1 p.m. Sunday, Wellington Police officials had responded to 15 vehicles that were vandalized.

“The suspect(s) used eggs to damage these vehicles by graciously throwing them at the vehicles which were parked in various areas around town,” the post said. “For some this may seem like harmless fun, but to the vehicle owners who may now need to replace paint on their vehicles. We can assure it is far from harmless.”

Officials have been able to contact nearly every vehicle owner and/or victim whose vehicle was damaged.

“We are currently following up on several credible leads in regards to this incident, but if anyone has any information that could assist in identifying the suspect(s), please PM our page or contact dispatch,” the post said.

If you find your vehicle was parked in Wellington and was vandalized in this manner, please contact the police department through the public safety dispatch center at 435-637-0890 or send a message to its Facebook page.
