Police searching for suspects after shots fired in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Jan. 30, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are searching for numerous suspects after shots were fired in Salt Lake City Tuesday night.

The Salt Lake City Police Department said in an news release that numerous calls were received about shots fired just before 9:45 p.m. in the area of 865 N. 1300 West.

“A witness observed the front passenger of a silver sedan, possibly a Nissan, at the intersection of Colorado Street and Talisman Drive, shoot several rounds into the air,” the news release said. “Officers located a total of six shell casings on the ground between Colorado Street and 1300 West.”

Officers checked the area and did not find any damage to homes or property. There is no suspect information at this time, the news release said.
