Police seek leads after elderly St. George woman sexually assaulted by intruder

ST. GEORGE, Utah, April 27, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — The St. George Police Department is asking the public to share possible leads after an elderly woman was sexually assaulted by a stranger who entered her home.

The incident happened just after midnight on April 17, a news release says. After being notified, police responded to her address, on North Main Street.

The suspect is believed to have entered the residence through an unlocked door. He is described as Caucasian, with a medium build and light, wavy hair.

Information was initially withheld to protect the investigation, but police are now asking the public for help. Anyone with information that could be relevant to the case is asked to call the Investigations Division Tip Line at 435-627-4338.

“We encourage the citizens of St. George to report any suspicious activity and to secure your residence and vehicles at all times,” the statement said.
