Police seek public’s help identifying suspect in Midvale armed robbery

MIDVALE, Utah, April 19, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — The Unified Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect in a robbery that occurred Friday morning in Midvale.

Unified Police were notified at 9:35 a.m. of an armed robbery at El Potrero Market, 7679 S. Main St., a police news release states.

The male suspect was armed with a handgun and left the market on foot. He was seen a short while later in a neighboring backyard, and the witness saw the man get into a black, older model Honda Civic.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, with an athletic build and dark hair. He was wearing all black with a Nike hoodie, a black flat-brimmed ball cap with the “Fox” logo, and a camo green bandana covering his face. One witness reported him having very blue eyes.

It is believed this same person also committed a robbery in Sandy on Friday morning, according to the news release.
