Willard Police Stop Speeding Vehicle, Discover Man Inside Had Been Stabbed

BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah, Dec. 20, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — A man was taken to the hospital and two others were detained after police pulled over a vehicle for speeding and discovered a man inside had been stabbed.

According a Box Elder County Sheriff’s Department news release, a Willard City Police officer initiated a traffic stop for speeding at about 10 p.m. Saturday, and discovered that a 36-year-old man from South Willard was being driven to the hospital with a severe stab wound.

Officers determined the man had been stabbed near the Hot Springs Mobile Home Park in South Willard.

UHP troopers, Weber County investigators, sheriff deputies and detectives responded and processed the crime scene. Two individuals were detained and several others have been questioned.

No further details were provided, including the identities of those involved. The police have indicated the incident still remains an active investigation.
