Tremonton suspect accused of trying to kill Ogden man

OGDEN, Utah, June 22, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A Tremonton man has been arrested on multiple charges including attempted murder after police say he assaulted an Ogden man.

Israel Lopez-Gonzalez, 45, was booked into Weber County Jail Wednesday night on charges of attempted murder, a second-degree felony; aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony; aggravated assault with serious injury, a second-degree felony; and aggravated kidnapping, a first-degree felony.

The Ogden Police Department has not released information on the incident that led to the charges. It did say the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
 
“The name of the adult victim will not be released due to safety and security concerns,” the OPD statement says.

As of Thursday afternoon, Lopez-Gonzalez was being held at Weber County Jail on $63,000 bail.
