Police In West Valley City Investigating Shooting; One Injured

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, May 3, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in West Valley City are investigating a shooting at an apartment complex Tuesday afternoon that sent one man to the hospital.

West Valley Police spokeswoman Roxeanne Vainuku said the incident happened just after 2 p.m. near 3800 W. Rockwood Way.

“Two men were arguing outside the apartment and one of them went back into their apartment and the other man pulled out a gun,” Vainuku said. “He fired several rounds into the apartment, and one of the bullets grazed the other man, causing minor injuries.”

The victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Police are looking for the suspect. He is described as black man driving an orange Chevy Avalanche.
