LEHI, Utah, July 23, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A woman was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving Sunday night after police say her vehicle drifted into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle head on.

Sgt. L. Lewis, Lehi Police Department, said the accident happened at about 10 p.m. at 2100 North and State Street.

The car that was struck was occupied by two women, one of whom needed to be extricated and was transported to the hospital with a head injury. Lewis said once she was out of the vehicle, medical personnel determined that she was in poor, but not critical, condition.

The others had no visible injuries, Lewis told Gephardt Daily.

“Everyone was shaken up, though,” he said, “and the woman who caused the accident had a panic attack afterward.”

He said she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana.
