WOODS CROSS, Utah, May 29, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A 15-year-old boy died Tuesday night when, police believe, he may have fallen while riding his bicycle in a parking lot in Woods Cross.

Sgt. Hoffman, with the Woods Cross Police Department, said officers and South Davis Metro Fire personnel were dispatched to 15th Street and Redwood Road at about 8:30 p.m.

Hoffman said the local teen “got into some sort of bicycle accident and hit his head.” The teen died at the scene.

The boy was riding by himself, and there were no witnesses, Hoffman told Gephardt Daily. He added that there was no indication of foul play.

Detectives were on scene and the investigation was still underway late Tuesday night, but Hoffman said it appears that the incident was a tragic accident.

Gephardt Daily will update this story as more information becomes available.
