SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, May 9, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) —  Popular Salt Lake City radio personalities Todd Collard and Erin Fraser — better known as the husband and wife team of Todd and Erin — are mourning the sudden loss of their 16-year-old son, MacLean.

Word of the teenager’s passing came Sunday by way of the couple’s Facebook page.

According to the post, the teen — who had been battling a seizure disorder — was found unresponsive in his bed by the family’s nanny Friday morning.

“Most of you know that Cleanie was on the autism spectrum, and for those who truly loved him JUST AS HE WAS and saw his beauty and light, thank you for being in our boy’s life,” wrote Erin Fraser. “The only thing that keeps us breathing in and out right now is knowing that he’s talking a million miles a minute and playing guitar with his Uncle Tym.

“Thank you for all the wonderful girls and young men who taught our boy and tried so hard to bring him out of autism — and his teachers who never gave up on him.”

In addition to his parents, MacLean is survived by his twin brother, Zach, and sister, Zoe.

Todd Collard and Erin Fraser have been top radio personalities in the Salt Lake City market since the mid-1990s when they first worked together for KISN 97.1.

In 2001, the popular couple moved to B98.7 where they reigned in the morning drive time slot for more than decade.

In 2013, the team parted ways with B98.7 and re-emerged eight months later on 100.7 FM, locally-owned by Broadway Media.

They are currently heard 6 to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday.

  2. Oh how heartbreaking! I have an autistic Son and my life would not be the same without him. He has made me believe that I’m capable of giving more and how to connect with other autistic children.
What lucky parents you have been to be able to love such a special boy.
