Possible threat against San Juan High School prompts increased law enforcement presence

SAN JUAN COUNTY, Utah, Oct. 1, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A possible threat against San Juan High School has led to an increased law enforcement presence Tuesday.

“San Juan School District administration has been made aware of a possible social media threat towards San Juan High School,” the school district posted on Facebook at 6 a.m. “We are working closely with local law enforcement, and are confident that there is no imminent danger to our students and staff.”

There will be an increased law enforcement presence at Blanding area schools on Tuesday.

“As always if something appears out of the ordinary please report it to the appropriate authority,” the post said.

No other details of the possible threat were released by officials.
