SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 31, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Post Malone, music mogul, entrepreneur, and all around cool dude (not to mention one of Utah’s all-time favorite adopted sons), has another hit music album to his credit. The newly released F-1 Trillion is now the No. 1 chart topper in the United States, according the Billboard 200.
The album dropped on Aug. 15, the day after Malone made his country and western debut at the Grand Opry in Nashville. Included in his set was “I Had Some Help,” a collaboration that appears on F-1 Trillion, performed with mega-star Morgan Wallen.
While Wallen didn’t appear at the Opry gig, Postie told the audience, “This song I did with a good buddy of mine, and one of the best singers I know. His name is Morgan.” Based on their reaction the audience agreed, a notion confirmed by “I Had Some Help” being considered as Billboard’s pick for the “Song of the Summer.”
Wallen’s work “One Thing at a Time” is No. 4 on the Billboard charts, while Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department” is No. 2, which, perhaps not so coincidentally, includes the hit single “Fortnight” written and performed by Swift and Malone and produced by the prolific Jack Antonoff.
Malone will support the F-1 Trillion project with a 20-city tour, which kicks off close to his Salt Lake City-area home at the Utah First American Amphitheater in West Valley City Sept. 8 and 9.
F-1 Trillion features 18 tracks with 15 guests, including Wallen, Dolly Parton, Luke Combs, and Blake Shelton. The album’s release marks Malone’s official foray into the ranks of country music, although longtime fans believe Malone will always be true to his roots as a rapper and eclectic pop artist.
Local ticket contest

In Utah, those who want to enter can go to the Midvale Raising Cane’s between Sept. 1 and 7 and take a photo with the iconic blue truck from Malone’s F-1 Trillion album cover for a chance at free tickets for one of his West Valley City shows.
Once you have the picture, those who plan to enter need to post their photo of themselves and the truck to Instagram with a #CanesF1TrillionMidvaleSweepstakes hashtag for a chance at free tickets.
