MILLCREEK, UTAH – October 27, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A domestic fight in Millcreek involving potted plants and knives ended with two men in the hospital.
According to Unified Police Lt. Lex Bell, a woman and her boyfriend got into a fight near 1350 East 3700 South when the woman called her son and ex-husband for help. “The ex-husband and son arrived and the boyfriend had already left,” Lt. Bell said. “While they were still there, the boyfriend came back to the home where a fight ensued between the ex-husband and boyfriend.”
Lt. Bell said that is apparently when the boyfriend stabbed the ex-husband in the abdomen. “The ex-husband then got up and engaged in a fight that ended up in the kitchen,” Bell said. “The ex-husband then grabbed a knife and was able to slash the chest of the boyfriend before grabbing some potted plants to throw at him. One of the plants hit the boyfriend in the head, resulting in a laceration.”
According to Lt. Bell, the son had also grabbed a knife, but he used it to shield his mom from any harm. “When officers arrived, the son and ex-husband had managed to get the boyfriend out of the house,” said Lt. Bell. “The boyfriend was sitting outside and had slashed the ex-husband’s tires.”
Both men were transported to the hospital in serious condition. Their names are not being released at this time.
Lt. Bell said the investigation is ongoing and the suspects will be screened for charges by the district attorney’s office.
