More than 5K customers without power in Weber, Davis counties

WEBER/DAVIS COUNTIES, Utah, June 13, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — More than 5,000 customers were without power Tuesday afternoon after several large-scale outages in Weber and Davis counties.

An outage in the area of 24th Street and Wall Avenue in Ogden affected 1,709 customers, Rocky Mountain Power stated on its website.

A second outage in the area of 1200 West and 17th Street just south of Ogden Nature Center affected 1,742 customers. The outage was reported at 11:55 a.m.

There was another outage north of Ogden Nature Center, in the area of 700 South and Depot Drive. This outage affected 461 customers.

A fourth outage in the area between Sunset and Roy, at the north end of Hill Air Force Base, affected 1,059 customers. This outage was caused by lightning.

There were also several small outages in the same area, pushing the total number of customers without power to more than 5,000.
