LAYTON, Utah, Sept. 10, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — More than 3,700 Rocky Mountain Power customers were without electricity late Tuesday afternoon.

RMP tweeted that it was working to restore damaged lines.

At 6:14 p.m., RMP sent out a second tweet:

“Update 6:14 pm: We have restored service to all affected customers in Layton, UT. If you are still experiencing an outage after resetting your main breakers, please visit rockymountainpower.net/outage or text “OUT” to 759677. We appreciate your patience”

The outage, caused by damaged line, was first reported at 4:24 p.m., the company’s website said. Customers affected live in the 84040, 84037 and 84025 zip code areas.

“Customers” refers to account holders, so the number of individuals without power would be far greater.”
