PROVO, Utah, June 6, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Five fire stations responded to a blaze at 792 W. 500 North in Provo early Tuesday morning.

Fire Capt. Dean York told Gephardt Daily that crews were called at 12:15 a.m. to the same residence where there had been a fire less than 24 hours earlier.

“The house is vacated,” York said. “There was a fire there yesterday, an electrical fire caused by a ceiling fan.”

No one was injured in the earlier fire, according to a department tweet at the time.

The home had been converted into apartments, a Facebook post states. Five residents were home during the earlier fire and were safely evacuated.

York said the earlier fire was not suspicious, and that the second one could be an extension of that; however, he said no information regarding its cause or the extent of damages would be available until the fire marshal could complete a report.

Gephardt Daily will update this story as more information becomes available.
