PROVO, Utah, Dec. 8, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A Provo man who worked as a photographer has been booked into the Utah County Jail after police say he used his position to molest male teenagers seeking modeling careers.

Kyle Navarrete, 32, told a 17-year-old that in order to have a modeling career, the boy needed photographs showing him in just underwear, according to testimony cited in a probable cause statement.

Navarrete then inappropriately touched the boy’s while saying it would improve the look of the photos, the probable cause statement says.

Two other male teens later came forward, saying Navarrete had touched them in similar ways, offering similar explanations for why he needed to do it.

One alleged victim was 16, and one was 18, but had been 17 at the time of the interaction, the probable cause statement said.

In one case, Navarrete allegedly invited a boy to his house and performed a sex act on him, according to the statement.

Navarrete has been arrested and charged with four counts of second-degree felony forcible sexual abuse and one count of forcible sodomy. Police have seized his electronic devices to look for images to be used as evidence, the statement said.
