PROVO, Utah, July 12, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in Provo got to help with a “beary” different kind of rescue in one of their neighborhoods Tuesday afternoon.
Officers with the Provo Police Department were called to a bear sighting at 1:25 p.m. from a neighborhood near the foothills on Mile High Drive.
When police and animal control officers arrived, they located the bear, which had climbed into a tree.
The Division of Wildlife Resources agents were able to tranquilize the bear and get it safely out of the tree.
The bear was expected to be released in a non-urban environment.
