Provo Police Seeking Public’s Help in Identifying Purse Snatching Suspects

PROVO, UTAH – May 29, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Provo Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying man who they say attempted to steal the purse of a customer exiting the Rancho Market at 1700 N. State Street.
According to police, at approximately 1 p.m. on Wednesday, the suspect snuck up behind the customer, Â grabbed her purse, and attempted to pull it away from her. The customer struggled with the suspect, and managed to hold onto her purse.
After failing to steal the woman’s purse, the suspect fled to a waiting vehicle that had two other occupants. The three individuals then fled northbound on State Street.
The male suspect is described as being around six feet tall, with a shaved head, a bracelet on his left arm and a tattoo on the right side of his neck.
The vehicle he got into is a late 90’s white Toyota Corolla with a dent on the front driver side panel. The vehicle is also missing the front driver side hubcap.
