PROVO, Utah, Oct. 7, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Provo power is reporting a “very large” outage Monday afternoon.
“We have reports of a very large power outage affecting 4,500 customers,” said a tweet from Provo Power at 4:20 p.m. “The linemen found a bird that got caught in the lines. Unfortunately, because of the instance, the bird fell and started a grass fire underneath. Crews are inspecting the lines and will re-energize as soon as possible.”
Crews from Provo Fire are assisting on scene, the tweet said.
“Power outage affecting street lights throughout north Provo, expect traffic delays,” said a tweet from Provo Fire and Rescue.
