PROVO, Utah, Sept. 28, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are looking for a man suspected of groping three women on the Provo River Parkway Trail early Monday morning.

Provo Police Department said in a news release that at approximately 6:30 a.m. officials received three separate reports of a male who accosted three female victims. The incidents occurred separately, but all three females were running on the river trail in the area of 3700 N. University Avenue.

“The suspect, who was also running, would act like he wanted to give the victim a high five or shake their hand,” the news release said. “Once the victim went to reciprocate the action, the suspect would then use this as an opportunity to grope them. Each incident was brief, the suspect did not attempt to restrain any of the victims, and he never spoke. This criminal was so brazen, that one of the victims was running with a partner at the time of the assault.”

The suspect is described as Caucasian, mid to late 20s to early 30s, approximately 5-feet-10-inches tall, medium build, with short blonde hair and a short beard. At the time he committed the assaults, he was wearing black track pants or tights with a dark shirt and a jacket tied around his waist.

Any additional victims or witnesses are asked to contact Provo Police Department at 801-852-6210.
