Public Can Visit the Masonic Temple Saturday
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – April 29, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – The public is welcome to visit Masonic Temples statewide on Saturday May 2, the doors will be open from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. for public tours and the opportunity to meet local Freemasons who will answer questions about the ancient fraternity. Visitors are invited to bring a non-perishable food item for the Utah Food Bank to help Utah’s Families and those in need. Masonic Temples in the following communities that are participating: Bountiful, Clearfield, Logan, Magna, Midvale, Moab, Ogden,Price, Provo, St. George, Salt Lake City, Tooele and Vernal. The Grand Lodge of Utah was formed in 1872 and has since worked toward supporting and improving communities and in general of promoting the ancient landmarks and values of Freemasonry. On the Utah Grand Lodge website, it says: “In today′s complicated and fast world, the ancient traditions and values of Freemasonry provide a much needed source of moral strength and honest friendship among its members.”
The Masonic Temple Association has also scheduled public tours on Monday of each week at 11 a.m. and again at 1 p.m. No reservations are required to attend these tours, but visitors are reminded to call (801)363-2550 on the morning of the tour.
