Deputies blocked off the two blocks in each direction near the area near 650 N Main. All vehicle and foot traffic was also redirected and residents were asked to remain in their homes until the incident was contained.

When the bomb squad arrived they were able to identify the device as a paint ball grenade which looked just like a regular military grenade with a pin to be pulled which releases the spoon that detonates the device.

All area restrictions have since been lifted and deputies have cleared the scene.
