
PROVO CANYON, Utah, Oct. 2, 2022 (Gephardt Daily) — Utah County Search and Rescue crews rescued two young men who became stranded Saturday evening while rappelling near Bridal Veil Falls in Provo Canyon.
Utah County Sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Cannon said the men, ages 18 and 19, were rappelling about 7 p.m. when they ran out of rope and became stranded.
Cannon told Gephardt Daily the young rappelers had about 100 feet of rope when they needed about 200 feet.
Search and rescue crews helped the men descend the mountain safely by 10:34 p.m., Cannon said.
No injuries were reported.
