Riverdale teen booked for attempted murder after drive-by shooting

RIVERDALE, Utah, Oct. 29, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — An 18-year-old from Riverton has been booked into jail on a charge of attempted murder after a 15-year-old boy was injured in a drive-by shooting Friday.

Isacc Jacob Fazzio was booked into Weber County Jail on charges of attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a restricted person, unlawful discharge of a firearm, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A news release from Riverdale City Police said officials responded to the area of 4400 S. 700 West on a report of a drive-by shooting where a 15-year-old boy had been shot in his lower extremities.

The victim was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive.

Detectives responded to the scene to investigate.

“It was reported the shooting was a gang-related incident,” the news release said. “Detectives identified the suspect involved in the shooting and took him into custody.”
