Robbery victim arrested when UPD Kearns officers find in-home drug lab

KEARNS, Utah, Oct. 26, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A Kearns man who told the police he was robbed of a backpack and car charger was arrested after officers obtained a search warrant and found a drug manufacturing and distribution operation in his home.

Unified Police Department Kearns officers at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday responded to numerous calls of shots fired in the area of 4085 W. 5855 South.

Officers found multiple shell casings in front of a home, and the occupant, Keagan Boroquez-Dazley, 19, told police that he had been robbed.

During the investigation, officers found a bullet hole in the home, so obtained a search warrant to search the premises. That’s when they discovered the drug manufacturing and distribution operation.

Boroquez-Dazley was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for suspected drug distribution.

The shooters are still at large. They are described as three to four men traveling in a white sedan. Detectives are asking for anyone with information to contact the Unified Police Department at 801-743-7000.
