Eastbound I-80 in Tooele County reopens after rollover crash

TOOELE COUNTY, Utah, July 13, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Eastbound Interstate 80 was shut down Thursday morning in Tooele County as two medical helicopters landed after a single-vehicle rollover crash, officials said.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:10 a.m. about 11 miles west of Knolls, at milepost 30, according to a news release from the Utah Highway Patrol.

There were three people in the vehicle, 36-year-old woman, a 14-year-old girl and a woman in her late 20s or early 30s, officials said. The 14-year-old was ejected, and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Two medial helicopters were called out to transport two of the women to the hospital.

I-80 was shut down for about 15 minutes in order to allow the helicopters to land.
