SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Dec. 2, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A man was transported to the hospital after a rollover crash in Salt Lake City Friday morning.

According to Det. Richard Chipping from the Salt Lake City Police Department, reports of the accident, at the intersection of Directors Row and Gladiola St. (1100 S. 3400 West), came in at approximately 7:30 a.m. Chipping said the man ran a red light while traveling north on Gladiola. His vehicle was T-boned by another vehicle, which caused his vehicle to roll onto its side.

The Salt Lake City Fire Department tweeted that a rescue crew, a Hazmat team and paramedic crews responded to the crash because the man was trapped inside his vehicle.

The trapped patient was extricated by 7:45 a.m. and transported to Intermountain Medical Center in critical condition, according to the fire department.

There were three other people involved in the accident, though it wasn’t immediately clear which vehicle they had been in. Two were transported in stable condition to Jordan Valley West Medical Center, and one person was evaluated and released.

Gephardt Daily will have more on this developing story as information becomes available.
