CENTERVILLE, Utah, Aug. 7, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A medical helicopter was called to the scene of a rollover crash on northbound Legacy Parkway in Centerville Tuesday afternoon.

A news release from the Utah Highway Patrol said the incident occurred in the area of Parrish Lane just after 2 p.m.

A 17-year-old male was driving northbound on Legacy Highway when he drifted off the road to the left into the center median. He attempted to bring the car back to the road, but it began to roll, officials said. The vehicle rolled multiple times.

The driver was wearing his seatbelt. However, he received serious injuries from being partially ejected and was flown to Intermountain Medical Center in critical condition.

Drowsy driving is being investigated as the likely cause of the crash.
