UPDATE: Roy Man Who Went Missing Dies
ROY, UTAH – June 1, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A Roy man who went missing Monday was found, and later died, according to police.

Detective Jason Vanderwars of Roy City Police confirmed that John Thurgood, 82, died around 3 a.m.
Thurgood and his pet chihuahua, “Mello”, were last seen at his Roy home around 1 p.m. on Sunday.
According to Roy PD, Thurgoo was found Monday by two Union Pacific Railroad workers, approximately 50 miles south of Park Valley, Utah. He was approximately two miles away from his vehicle. His dog was also found. Thurgood was transported by ambulance to Snowville where he was then placed in a helicopter and airlifted to an Ogden-area hospital.
