SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – September 26, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Runners took to the streets Saturday for the 2015 Superhero Run with Salt Lake Comic Con.

Proceeds from the run, which began and ended at the Salt Palace Convention Center, will benefit the construction of the new Specialty Hospital of Utah.

The event also featured live music, superheroes to meet and mingle with, photo booths and vendors. The Mega One Mile and 5K were timed electronically and winners were presented in each age category. Prizes were also given for the best costumes.

The Specialty Hospital, formerly South Davis Community Hospital, is an award-winning care facility consisting of more than 600 employees serving more than 2,000 children and their families each year at its campus in Bountiful, Utah. The hospital is currently in the process of rebuilding its facility to be able to better accommodate its patients and provide the highest quality care possible.
