SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – May 11, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – More than 13,000 fifth and sixth graders from 17 different schools came to Smith’s Ballpark for the Bees game against the Reno Aces today.

The Salt Lake Bees and the Utah State Office of Education hosted the event as a reward for the students participation in their Prevention Dimensions program, Utah’s Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities lesson program to help students strive to build strong foundations and skills against violence and substance abuse.

The event, sponsored by Med One, allowed the kids to attend the event free of charge and is part of the Bees organization’s ongoing commitment to community outreach, health, wellness and youth development.
