SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 11, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — The Salt Lake City Fire Department responded Friday afternoon to a residential fire, and was able to put it out quickly.

“Crews were dispatched to a fire at 172 East on 1700 South,” said Karl Steadman, Battalion Chief.

“Upon arrival, we found a single-family dwelling with smoke coming out. We actually initiated a fire attack, found fire on the main floor, and were able to put it out within just a few minutes.”

An investigation into the cause of the fire was ongoing.

“There were no injuries to civilians and no injuries to our fire fighters today,” Steadman said.
