Salt Lake City PD investigating fatal hit-and-run motorcycle crash

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, June 2, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) -- The Salt Lake City Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash which claimed the life of a motorcyclist late Sunday night.

First responders were dispatched to the scene at 400 East 2100 around 10:58 p.m. When they arrived, they found a lone motorcyclist in extremely critical condition.

The motorcyclist was taken by ground ambulance to a nearby trauma center where they were pronounced dead.

According to a SLCPD news release, the driver who hit the motorcyclist had run a stop sign and then did not stop after the collision.

Crash investigators were expected to work through the night, but would try to clear the intersection before the morning commute.
