SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Jan. 10, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in Salt Lake City are looking for a suspect who got away Wednesday afternoon after a bank robbery.
The call came in at 2:38 p.m. about a robbery at the Zions Bank branch at 701 E. 400 South.
“A man in his 20s went in and robbed a teller,” Detective Robert Ungricht, Salt Lake City Police Department, told Gephardt Daily. “He left with an undisclosed amount of money.”
The suspect is described as Caucasian, and was wearing a beanie cap and a blue and white bandanna that covered his mouth. He also wore sunglasses, a gray sweatshirt and gray sweatpants, Ungricht said.
Leaving the scene, the suspect reportedly headed west driving a blue Ford passenger car.
If police are not able to identify the suspect using their own resources, they are likely to release a bank surveillance image within a few days, Ungricht said.
