SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, July 17, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Salt Lake City fire crews are on the scene of a natural gas leak in the Sugar House area Wednesday morning.

“Working Incident: Natural gas leak at approximately 2100 S. 1300 East,” said a tweet from the Salt Lake City Fire Department at 11:10 a.m.

“Crews are on scene and monitoring the extent of the spread,” the tweet said. Dominion Energy is en route to assist, the tweet added.

At 11:30 a.m., SLCFD tweeted: “Gas leak has been shut off and buildings are being occupied again.”

The cause of the leak is under investigation.
