SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – September 7, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – It has been forty years since Salt Lake’s Greek Orthodox community took a bazaar in the basement of the downtown church and transformed it into one of the most popular annual events in the city.

This weekend, September 11-13, the Salt Lake Greek Festival will celebrate four decades of entertaining an ever growing number of visitors with Greek music, dancing, and a variety of traditional foods and drinks. In order for guests to experience Greek heritage, the Holy Trinity Church will also be open for tours and the Hellenic Cultural Museum.

The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12 and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 13. The event is held at the Holy Trinity Cathedral on 300 West and 300 South in downtown Salt Lake City.

The menu will include traditional gyros, souvlaki, dolmathes, and baklava.
